Dear Designer,
My home was built in 1879. The doors have original cut glass panels with intricate floral designs. Last week, while trying to navigate a dishwasher inside the house, we cracked the glass in our front door. Can I replace it? And will I still be able to send my son to college?

Dear Anxious,
That beautiful design was incised into the glass using small beveled wheels. Relax! There are still a few people who do it. One of them is right near by in Brooklyn. Take a look at this link for local artisan Tomas Tisch. www.tomastisch.org.
