Debra Salomon is the principal of the Brooklyn based 408 Group, which provides architectural planning, interior design and construction management for brownstones and small houses. She works primarily in the Brownstone neighborhoods of Brooklyn, where she is also a resident.

In addition to her interior design practice, Debra is an adjunct faculty at LaGuardia College, CUNY and an Interior Design instructor for NY Designs.

Debra's design sense is rooted in function and augmented by an abiding love of process, material, and the ornaments that make our lives rich. Her work day may begin in a basement and finish in a high end showroom, always guided by the necessities of the job. She guides the complex and overlapping parts of a residential renovation:  plumbing, electrical, heating, lighting, moving between client and contractor to make sure that style and functionality are the end result. She guides a project through Landmarks regulations and obtains city building permits, working in partnership with a Engineers, Architects and Contractors.
